Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)

President: Chloe Chang
Hello! I am Chloe, a sophomore from Kang Chiao International School Xiugang Campus. It is my utmost pleasure to serve as your Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) president for LINMUN V.
This will be my 13th conference and 2nd time chairing. I have a love-hate relationship with MUN. I vividly recall feeling terrified and clueless at my first conference, even resorting to chewing gum to stay focused and awake. Over time, though, MUN has transformed me, building my confidence to voice my opinions and fueling my passion for global issues and dynamic debates. At this conference, we will discuss promoting women’s empowerment and leadership in developing economies, a critical step toward fostering inclusive growth and addressing gender inequalities. I hope this conference inspires and motivates every delegate, whether you are continuing your MUN journey or just starting out.
Aside from MUN, I enjoy art, Netflix, eating, orchestra, piano, typing, and annoying my sister. I have a soft spot for frogs (Ricky Rain Frog from Jellycat) and am a big fan of Billie Eilish. Feel free to contact me (jcechloe@gmail.com) regarding any questions. See you then!

Deputy President: Doris Huang
Dear delegates,
Welcome to the Commission on the Status of Women of LINMUN V!
My name is Doris Huang, and I am currently a 9th grader (freshman) at Kang Chiao International School Linkou Campus (KCISLK).
Previously, I have attended STMUN XIV and XV, TASMUN XV, and THIMUN SINGAPORE 2024 as a delegate. From these conferences, I have learned several skills to communicate with people from different countries, as well as effective methods to convey the opinions of the countries that I represent in each committee. I have also learned to enjoy each and every debate, as it not only provides me an opportunity to listen to others’ thoughts and ideas but also allows me to build connections between the world around me and the global issues that need to be addressed immediately.
LINMUN V will be my fifth conference and first time chairing. I will be the expert chair on Issue [501]: Promoting women’s empowerment and leadership in developing economics. I would like to urge all delegates to use this opportunity to voice their ideas on solving the long-lasting problems and inequalities that women suffer from due to their lack of power.
Once again, it is my utmost honor to be serving as your deputy president of CSW this year. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at lj11069@stu.kcislk.ntpc.edu.tw.
I am looking forward to seeing you all in February!
